1. Who we are
This site (https://tools.drishlabs.com) is operated by DrishLabs (“we”, “us”). For privacy questions, contact hello@drishlabs.com. We act as the data controller for the limited information described below.
2. What we collect from you directly
Nothing through the tools themselves. Every tool on this site processes your data locally in your browser. Files you upload, text you paste, numbers you type, and outputs you generate never reach our servers.
If you email us via the contact page, we receive the message you send (and any reply-to address). We use it only to respond and we don't add your address to a marketing list.
3. What our hosting and ad partners may see
Like any website, our hosting provider receives standard server logs when you load a page: your IP address, browser user-agent, page URL, and timestamp. We use these to keep the site online, debug errors, and detect abuse. Logs are retained for up to 30 days and not used to profile individuals.
We display advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its third-party vendors may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. Google may use the DoubleClick DART cookie and the Advertising ID to show ads relevant to you. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or, for many other vendors, via aboutads.info.
For full details on how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors discover and use the site (page views, referrers, aggregated location at country level, device and browser type). IP addresses are anonymized before storage. Analytics data is used in aggregate to improve the site and is never combined with personally identifying information. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by declining cookies in our consent banner.
4. Cookies
We do not set first-party tracking cookies. The site uses one localStorage entry to remember your cookie-consent choice so the banner doesn't reappear. Embedded ads from Google AdSense (and any partner networks Google uses) may set or read cookies as described in section 3.
You can block third-party cookies in your browser settings without affecting the tools. They run locally and don't depend on cookies.
5. Your rights: GDPR (EEA / UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct or delete that data;
- Object to or restrict its processing;
- Receive a portable copy of your data;
- Withdraw consent for non-essential cookies (use the cookie banner or your browser settings);
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Our legal basis for processing is your consent (for ad cookies) and legitimate interest (for site-uptime logs). To exercise any of these rights, email hello@drishlabs.com.
6. Your rights: California (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell personal information for money. The sharing of identifiers with advertising partners (Google AdSense and its sub-processors) for cross-context behavioral advertising may qualify as “sharing” under the CPRA. To opt out of this sharing, set your browser to send the Global Privacy Control signal, decline cookies via our banner, or email hello@drishlabs.com with “Do Not Sell or Share” in the subject line.
7. Children
The site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
8. International transfers
Server logs and ad-related data may be processed in the United States or other countries where Google and our hosting provider operate. These transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
9. Security
We use HTTPS site-wide and apply security headers (HSTS, X-Frame-Options, Referrer-Policy). No system is perfectly secure, but we limit collection by design: there is very little personal data stored to begin with.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the “last updated” date above and (for substantive changes) flag the update on the homepage.
11. Contact
Privacy questions or requests: hello@drishlabs.com, or via the contact page.
